We collect minimal data required to provide prayer-related features:

Location (GPS): To calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction based on your location. Your location is only used locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Settings: Your app preferences (language, calculation method, notifications) are stored locally on your device only.
Prayer Log: Your prayer tracking data is stored locally on your device only.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone).
We do NOT track your usage or behavior.
We do NOT share any data with third parties.
We do NOT show ads or advertising trackers.
We do NOT use analytics services that identify users.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party APIs to provide app features:

AlAdhan API: For prayer time calculations (requires coordinates).
Al-Quran Cloud API: For Quran text and translations.
OpenStreetMap: For nearby mosque discovery and maps.
Google Gemini / OpenRouter: For the Imam AI assistant (only when you send messages).

Data Storage

All your data (settings, prayer log, cached Quran text) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not have servers that store user data.

Notifications

With your permission, the app sends local notifications for prayer times. These are scheduled on your device and do not involve our servers.

Children's Privacy

Muslim Now does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is designed for all ages and does not require personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
